The assessment at the secondary level is built on the foundations set at the Primary level and forges the basics acquired at this level.
To meet the demands of the IGCSE and GCE ‘A’ Level curriculum, in grades VI, VII and VIII there is a healthy blend of the best of the international curriculum with the long-established national curriculum.
Subjects Offered:
- First language: English
- Second Language: Hindi / or any other offered foreign
Language - Social Studies (History + Geography + Civics)
- Science ( Chemistry + Biology + Physics)
- English Literature
- Mathematics
- Computer
- Third Foreign Language
At the end of Grade VIII, learners may discontinue certain subjects and select new courses. However, core subjects and Information Technology remain compulsory.
Assessment at this level aims to:
- Give credit for what learners experience and achieve.
- Motivate learners by involving them in the assessment process.
- Formally recognize a learner’s contribution to the school life.
- Inform staff, learners and parents regarding a learner’s progress.
- Inform staff regarding curriculum design and revision.
- Place learners in appropriate groups.
